Some trees need to be dismantled when felling for a variety of reasons, such as their location to property and buildings, highways, gardens, and even other trees.

This is done with the use of specialist lowering equipment to ensure the safety of the climber, and ground staff, whilst reducing the impact to the working area below. It is unsafe to climb trees, so please call the experts.

Crown Reductions

Crown reduction is the preferred method to minimize storm damage of an otherwise structurally sound tree.

Crown reduction can also be considered when the root system of a large maturing tree has substantial decay making it potentially hazardous.

The objective is to make cuts:

reduce the size of the crown, so that the tree is not damaged.

A smaller canopy, ideally a result of careful pruning, should be able to survive the pruning process.

Crown Lifting

Lifting the crown by removing lower branches will allow access.

Ideal for mowing access, space under the tree and enjoying the shades cast by the tree.

In this example, the crown has been lifted to clear the height of the wall and to give access to area of garden under the tree.

Crown Thinning

Thinning crowns to let in more light into the garden by removing some, but not all, of the branches and concentrating on dead or congested shoots.

It is very easy to spoil the appearance of the tree.

Tree thinning should be done in stages evaluating the effect before removing more.

Tree Felling

Dead or Damaged Trees Removed.

Some trees need to be dismantled when felling for a variety of reasons, such as their location to property and buildings, highways, gardens or poor location.

The straight fell of trees is the removal of trees as a single unit. Tree removal normally does not include the removal of the Stump (this is an extra service that you may request at the time).

Straight felling will be limited to such situations that pose no risk of damage to any property or persons whatsoever.
